Nathan Shanahan is an award-winning storyteller, writer, and director. His movies include Only for the Night, 63 Bank Street (Ambrosia Film Festival: Best Cinematography and Audience Choice), and A Modern Romance. His work has screened at film festivals across the country.
Originally from Durham, North Carolina, Mr. Shanahan earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Filmmaking from the UNC School of the Arts, where he studied under Eric Eason. His work explores love, meaning, and the search for both.
He has also taught at his alma mater, written for OffOffOnline in New York City, and directed for PBS, Disney, and Atrium Health.
He currently writes about dramatic theory on his blog, The Shape of a Story.
